The EMWIS organization is based on a administrative level and a functional level. The administrative level includes: The functional level groups:
1 The Steering CommitteeThe Steering Committee is composed of the representatives of 10 countries (1 representative per country with the possibility of alternating countries from one year to another with the exception of the countries which are members of the Technical Unit and which constitute the core of the Steering Committee); The Steering Committee is responsible for:
The Steering Committee meets once a year with alternate organization of the meetings. Currently, the Presidency is assured from Spain, the Vice-presidency from Cyprus and Honorary Presidency by Italy. List of Steering Committee members 2 The Coordination CommitteeThe Coordination Committee includes the representatives of the National Focal Points and the Technical Unit. Currently, the Presidency is assured from Morocco and the Vice-presidency from Malta. 3 The National Focal PointsEach National Focal Point is composed of a small team within a public or parapublic organization in charge of gathering and disseminating documentation and information relating to the water sector in each country. The National Focal Point are mainly responsible for:
4 The Technical UnitThe Technical Unit is composed of a consortium of three national operators: CEDEX (Spain), OIEau (France), and SOGESID S.p.a. (Italy).
