Information & Training Seminar: Use & Installation of the new EMWIS portal

The Information Technologies managers of the EMWIS National Focal Points (NFP) will met in Sophia-Antipolis (France) from 13 to 15 September 2006 for a training session dedicated to the use & the installation of the new EMWIS portal. The training will be carried out by Experts from the Italian company FINSIEL, who implemented EMWIS new portal, on the basis of an open source solution (NAYAA), a system previously developed for the European Environment Agency (EEA). This ambitious new technical architecture of EMWIS portal improves the multilingual content management, the co-operation within and between the various national water information systems and to guaranty an effective exchange of information of any nature. The new EMWIS international portal has been recently launched by the Technical Unit and a portal tool kit is available for the NFP willing to implement this new technology. This training is open to EMWIS NFP and MEDA-Water projects willing to learn about this technology, standards used and to improve the exchange of information with EMWIS.
