World Bank Water Week 2007
The World Bank’s Water Week 2007 is taking place on 27 February - 2 March 2007 at World Bank headquarters in Washington DC, United States. As in years past, the four-day event brings together the Bank water community, as well as invited external stakeholders, including clients, donor organizations, NGOs, and private sector representatives.
The theme of this year's Water Week is ‘Water Futures: Sustainability and Growth’. Participants will explore the challenges and options for good water management and improved water services well into the future through 36 distinct topic sessions and many side events, focusing mainly on sanitation, health and environment, access to water, better governance, adapting to variability, and complex and innovative approaches. The Week will be an opportunity for members of the UN-Water task force on IWRM monitoring and reporting to meet with donors and partners.
