International Workshop on wetlands

The wetlands event will be hosted by the Ramsar Convention Secretariat and will help them to identify
links between the Convention and the EU Water Framework Directive.

The workshop will be a small event and we aim to limit the number of people from each country to around 2-3 to give the opportunity for a wide range of countries to attend . The process will be to brainstorm ideas and then refine them into themes and specific questions that could be taken forward as specific research projects. It may not be possible to complete all the tasks at the event and using online collaboration tools and a possible further meeting hosted by our Hungarian partners IWRM-net can to continue to facilitate the network, but future options will be agreed at the workshop.
