Event 1st Global Water Roundtable plus Corporate Water Scarcity Summit

Understanding, Measuring & Managing Water Risk, Footprints & Impacts Throughout Your Supply Chain

2-Day Summit: 29th-30th April 2010

Pre-Conference Workshop on 28 April 2010 Hosted By Alliance for Water Stewardship: 1st Global Water Roundtable: Update

Major corporates, including Nike, Marks & Spencer, Diageo, SAB Miller, IKEA, The Coca-Cola Company and Starbucks Coffee, will be joining the ‘Corporate Water Scarcity Risk Management’ to share information on how to secure their supply chain operations in regions of water stress, and to better understand how they can become more water aware and efficient. Taking place in London this April 29th and 30th, the complex questions around water scarcity will be comprehensively addressed, including causes and projections for core manufacturing and industrial sites across the globe.

The full programme and speaker line-up has just been released and is available online at http://www.corporate-water-scarcity-risk-management.com/

Summit organisers London Business Conferences have extensive experience in both the Water and Sustainability sectors, and are uniquely positioned to bring together the key multinationals, policy makers and suppliers of technology-based water management and water scarcity solutions, to help drive forward this increasingly significant issue, and expedite the formation of new industry partnerships.

The agenda is highly detailed and focused to reflect the delegates’ interests, and includes regional analyses of water availability including Africa and China, and, through the provision of 2 separate conference streams, specific information for various industry supply chains including Food And Drink, Clothing, Consumer Products including Electronics, Steel, Aerospace, Automotive, Extractive Industries, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.

We are also delighted to be working with the Alliance For Water Stewardship and WWF, who will be hosting a special, pre-conference session on advancing water stewardship standards on April 28th. Delegates are encouraged to attend and support this ‘1st Global Water Roundtable’, which will further facilitate information and best practice exchange between stakeholders.

With over a dozen different company perspectives being presented over the course of the 2 Day Summit, from The Coca-Cola Company, Nike, Marks & Spencer, Diageo, SABMiller, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Alliance Boots, Starbucks Coffee, Stora Enso, Kimberly-Clark, Cadbury, Lafarge, Ikea and Borealis, the Summit offers a completely unique opportunity to learn how the corporate world is responding to the Water Scarcity issue, and importantly, how strategies are being developed to take into account the associated impacts and risks.
