LDA Conference

The first conference organised by the Levant Desalination Association will focus on Water Reuse and Desalination: Experience and Opportunity. This conference will be structured with expert presentations and an open forum to encourage lively interaction with all who attend. All presentations will be available in proceedings. Topics to be covered by the conference will include: Promotion of water demand management to ensure the sustainability of water resources. How reuse of urban and industrial wastewater can reduce the need for allocation of fresh water to agriculture from other sources and increase the availability of drinking water by desalination. How the use of desalination and water reuse technologies can provide cost effective solutions for countries in the Levant region.

The Levant Desalination Association is headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon and was formally established in early 2009. The organization currently has close to 250 members, who have been active in the region for a number of years.
