Event 'Making Water Knowledge Work' event at Wageningen University

The Irrigation and Water Engineering Group of Wageningen University is organizing a dynamic one-day-event on some of its core research themes. Our aim is to create a stimulating exchange between scientists and engineers from diverse backgrounds, around new questions and challenges in water science and public policy. We hope this will create new learning alliances to address today’s water problems and critical social questions arising from increasing pressures on water. The day consists of a plenary morning session on ‘transforming water knowledge’ and four parallel sessions in the afternoon:

  1. water knowledge and democracy
  2. water technology and design
  3. modelling and water planning
  4. justice and water scarcity

Date: 3 September 2010 in Wageningen, the Netherlands
