Euro-Demonstration

The 12th Congress of the ETUC elected a new Executive Committee that at the end of the event proposed to mobilise on June 21st in Luxemburg as a continuation to the No to austerity campaign.

The idea is to demonstrate our opposition to the propositions at debate during the Council of June 24th, these proposals are the Euro-plus Pact, they affect all Euro zone countries plus Bulgaria, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania, that is to say the bulk majority of the European population.

For these reasons the ETUC is proposing a European demonstration in Luxemburg City on Tuesday June 21 at 15h. EPSU is supporting the action and it will be its outmost to mobilise for it.EPSU is planning to organise a bus from Brussels and is also asking affiliates to do its best to be able to have a sizeable block at the demonstration.

We appeal especially to Belgian, French, German, Dutch and Luxemburgish EPSU affiliates to let us know as soon as possible their availability.
