National Water Law Symposium

Following the great success of the International Water Law Symposium June 2010, the Dundee UNESCO IHP-HELP Centre is pleased to announce our National Water Law Symposium June 2011, 20 - 24^th June 2011.  Please save the date in your diaries.  Once again, we will bring together highly renowned in-house and guest speakers for a packed week of Water Law seminars and networking.

Our focus this year will be national water law.  This establishes rights to water, allocates water to users, controls pollution and water quality, and creates frameworks for integrated water resource management. Furthermore, the implementation of international agreements and the provision of water services, are also matters for national law.
