Event NOVIWAM Workshop “Joint Actions addressing Europe’s Water Challenges”

Purpose: This Workshop aims to inform public authorities, EU policy-makers, EU, National and Regional Experts, companies and other organizations involved in ‘water management research policies and decision-making processes’. With a view to assist and support future decisions on this domain, that mostly depend on Public Authorities.

Background Information: NOVIWAM Project is funded by the EU 7th Framework Programme. Its main goal is to introduce administration, research centres and business into the promotion of interregional co-operation, within the field of water management tools and methods. The NOVIWAM consortium consists of 19 partners whose profiles and expertise comprehend an array of approaches towards research, innovation, policy and management in the water sector. For increased competitiveness, these partners are grouped in five research-driven clusters from the following regions: Northern Hydrographical Region (Portugal), Andalusia (Spain), Poitou-Charentes (France), Albania and Cyprus.

During the project, a Joint Action Plan at European level was defined, through dialogue and reflection processes by the project partners aimed at driving economic development through research and technological activities. In this context, a specifically tailored Report has been composed, to communicate the central findings of the Joint Action Plan and emphasize some key messages to the public administration representatives, policy-makers and relevant stakeholders.

Previous registration to the event is necessary. If you find the initiative of interest, please send an email to registration@noviwam.eu and you will receive a confirmation for the attendance.
