Event W-E-X 2012 ( THE WATER & ENERGY EXCHAGE )- An International Summit for Leaders in the Water & Energy Industry

The Water and Energy Exchange, in association with ONEP and ONE (The National Offices for Water and Electricity), have arranged for a WEX international trade mission to visit Rabat for a two day summit.

 

WEX Morocco is designed to facilitate new business opportunities and partnerships with the most important players in water and energy from Morocco and neighbouring countries.

 

This unique exchange platform for knowledge and expertise will take place at the headquarters of ONEP in Rabat on the 12th and 13th September 2012.

 

Participation in the WEX International Trade Mission to Morocco will enable you to:

  • Learn about the current status of the water, wastewater and renewable energy projects in the North African Market. global water market and the challenges and opportunities from industry leaders

Venue

By kind permission of ONEP (Office National Eau Potable Maroc Assainissement) we will be utilising the first class conference and meeting facilities available at the International Institute for Water and Sanitation located in the Headquarters of ONEP in Rabat Morocco. Delegates to the summit will be accommodated in one of Rabat's major hotels where the summit dinner will take place with all participants on the night of the 12th of September

 

ONEP (Office National Eau Potable Maroc Assainissement)

 

The National Office for Potable Water (ONEP) is a state-owned company and the main supplier of potable water responsible for 80% of the national production (more than 800 million m3 per year) and also delivers sanitation services for local authorities. ONEP has 7000 employees with a turnover of 400 M Euros and has long been recognised as an international centre of excellence in the water sector. From April 24th 2012, ONEP will be formally merged with ONE (National Office for Electricity) to form a new government agency ONEE, the National Office for Electricity and Water under the leadership of M. Ali Fassi-Fihri. The merger reflects the Moroccan government’s plan to mplement an integrated National Strategy for Water and Renewable Energy
