Promoting European Leadership in Waste and Recycling- Waste oil regeneration case study
Promoting a resource efficient Europe with waste and recycling is at the heart of the debate and a key focus of EU environmental policies. The European Commission has identified the revision of the EU Waste Framework Directive as one of its main priorities for 2013 while further work on waste prevention and the evaluation of additional recycling targets is on-going. The promotion of waste prevention and recycling does matter in the context of creating a real EU Green Single Market. Related Commission initiatives are expected to be published in Q1 2013. In this context, Member of European Parliament Dr. Horst Schnellhardt will host a breakfast debate together with the European Waste Oil Regeneration Industry Association on 19 March 2013.
Opening Speech: Dr. Horst Schnellhardt, Member of European Parliament (hosting)
Key Note Speech: William Neale, (Cabinet Janez Potočnik)
Case Study: Dr. Detlev Bruhnke (GEIR President)
Civil Society Perspective: Joan Marc Simon (Zero Waste Europe)
