International Online Symposium: Pretreatment for Reverse-Osmosis Seawater Desalination
Desalination
& Water Reuse Quarterly (D&WR) is pleased to announce the first
in a series of international virtual symposiums in partnership with the
International Desalination Association and IDA Desalination
Academy, designed to enable participants to listen to and question some
of the world's leading desalination experts.
Good
pretreatment is crucial for seawater desalination success. Our first symposium,
taking place on 30th April will focus on Pretreatment for Reverse-Osmosis Seawater
Desalination.
The symposium
has been split into three short sessions, enabling you to participate live or on
demand at a later date convenient to you.
Each session
features an international panel of experts in pretreatment design and operation
for seawater desalination. Speakers include:
- Dr Mark Wilf, RO Technology, USA, author and consultant on membrane technology
- Dr Graeme Pearce, Membrane Consultancy Associates, UK, author and consultant on membrane technology
- Boris Liberman, CTO Vice President, IDE Technologies, Israel, designer of seawater RO systems
Presentations
will include a series of informative PowerPoint slides along with an audio
explanation from the speaker. Following each presentation, the panel will
discuss a selection of questions submitted by symposium
participants.
The
symposium will start at 17.00hrs GMT and finish 20.00hrs
GMT.
