The 3rd Istanbul International Water Forum: “Water Security” and “International Water Law”
As a triennial event held one year prior to each World Water Forum, the 3rd IIWF will aim to provide important inputs to the 7th World Water Forum, especially on water security and improving transboundary management of water resources.
The Forum will also be a nice stopover before going to Singapore International Water Week on 1-5 June 2014.
Along with the thematic sessions, the 3rd IIWF will feature side/special events, a Water Expo and a Ministerial Meeting, at the end of which a Chair’s Summary will be adopted.
The thematic sessions will feature paper presentations followed by discussion panels on water governance in transboundary basins, WFD implementation or a related subject (session titles are yet to be determined).
