International Scientific Symposium of Water Management and Desertification

Introduction

Many countries are faced with problems of water scarcity and desertification. They represent a challenge for states and people because of their direct and indirect effects on food security.

Arab and African regions are the most likely to be affected with this danger because of the scarcity of water in these regions and the problem of desertification. This situation calls everyone on making studies, starting projects and finding solutions to save the soil and water and to avoid overcomes that will happen if we do not take action as soon as possible.

The EuroArab Union of Geomatics believes in the role of researchers and specialists in finding solutions for environmental problems, this is why it is organizing an international scientific symposium on: water management and desertification under the slogan:

Scientific field research is a basis for development of agriculture, water management and treatment of desertification

Objectives of the symposium

First: Finding out about latest technologies in the field of water and desertification

Second: Building partnerships between experts, academics and research centers in the Arab world in the one hand and the European party in the other hand.

Third: Exchange of expertise

Fourth: Finding solutions for to limit the problem of desertification and best methods of water management

Fifth: Finding answers for water and desertification problematics

Sixth: Establishing an information network to make exchange of expertise and information easier

Conditions of participations

Researchers, scientists, experts and students interested in water and agricultural sectors working or studying in institutions, research centers, organizations or associations are welcome to participate in the international symposium on water and desertification with a scientific presentation, a field work study … or with simply being present at the event.

-         Sending abstracts and work papers before the deadline

-         Following academic instruction of writing research and abstracts

-         Choosing among themes of the symposium

-         Filling in the participation form and sending it to EuroArab Union of Geomatics

-         Participation with a work paper or a poster: 400 dollars

-         Presence: 500 dollar
