8th Hydrogeological International Congress of Greece & 3rd MEM Workshop on Fissured Rocks Hydrology
The 8th Hydrogeological International Congress is hosted by the Hellenic Committee of Hydrogeology, commission of the Geological Society of Greece, whose members are also members of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), in collaboration with the Cyprus Association of Geologists & Mining Engineers.
The Congress will be held in Athens, Greece, during October 8-10, 2008 and will be followed by an one-day excursion, in October the 11th, visiting water impotencies in Attica.
Parallel to the Congress the 3rd MEM Workshop on Fissured Rocks Hydrology will take place .
OBJECTIVE:
The 8th Hydrogeological International Congress will promote scientific understanding on groundwater and related subjects through discussion and knowledge exchange.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE:
The official languages of the Congress are Greek, English and French, while the official language of the 3rd MEM is English. These languages will be used for all printed material, presentations and discussions.
