France: The new water law is adopted by the national assembly

The French national assembly adopted, last 30 May, the new law on water and aquatic environments, which aims at getting a good ecological state of water, as required in the EU WFD (European Water Framework Directive). This project of law must still continue its shuttle with the Senate for a second reading envisaged at the end of June. See the full text of this law at the website of the French National Assembly.
