News Aquafit4All proposal very well received by European Commission

Industry has a significant impact on the aquatic system. Legislation, stringent discharge standards as well as process and product demands force industry to ensure higher water quality corresponding to increasing costs. Water consuming industry can no longer regard water as a consumable or utility. The European “Water Industry” (technology suppliers and end-users) requires knowledge and technologies to address and secure the identified needs based on the work of the WSSTP. Although Europe has extensive knowledge and experience of developing solutions in the field of water, the fragmented character of the European water sector strongly limits its potential. Therefore the Aquafit4All proposal aims to develop a new management system including new approaches, tools, methods, and technologies focusing on the four sectors with highest water consumption. The proposal has been very well received by the European Commission. More information on Aquafit4All will be available shortly.
