LIFE in Europe's wetlands

World Wetlands Day (WWD) on 2nd February, has, since 1997, provided opportunities to raise public awareness of the importance of wetland ecosystems, which sustain some of Europe?s most important bird, amphibian, invertebrate and plant species during key stages in their life-cycle. This month's LIFEnews celebrates World Wetlands Day by highlighting some of the exciting LIFE projects that have worked to conserve or restore these vulnerable habitats.
