News Water Experts – long and short term, ACEOM, Global

AECOM International Development is a global economic and infrastructure development firm serving governments, multi-lateral donors and the private sector.

AECOM is currently seeking long- and short-term technical experts in urban and community water supply, with specific experience in the following areas:

  • Utility restructuring – management and financing
  • Capacity building of local governments and/or regulatory agencies
  • Utility regulation and water supply and sanitation policy
  • Environmental engineering as it relates to water supply/sanitation
  • Public health as it relates to water supply and sanitation

Application deadline: 10 March 2008.

Candidates should also possess the following qualifications:
  • Ten or more years of demonstrated professional experience in urban water supply and sanitation, capacity building or environmental service delivery
  • Hands-on experience improving operations and expanding service of water utilities, strengthening policy frameworks and capacity of local governments, regulatory agencies, etc.
  • Experience working with USAID, World Bank, Asian Development Bank or other multi- and/or bi-lateral donors
  • Experience working in an international setting required; work experience in Africa and Asia is highly desirable
  • Advance degree in relevant technical field preferred
