QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Advanced university degree in zoology, biology, ecology, and or a related scientific field to terrestrial or marine conservation or a first university degree with a relevant combination of professional and academic qualifications.

Work Experience
At least seven (7) years working experience in the field of biodiversity conservation with a national and/or international institution(s) are needed to successfully carry out the duties required.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the advertised post, fluency in oral and written English is required. A good working knowledge of either French or Spanish is desirable.

Other Skills
Knowledge of software and other applications e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, internet.
