News MED-EUWI scheduled call for proposals

The overall objective of this project is to promote the adoption of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) governance principles through their use for the definition and implementation of water management policies and measures, at both national and regional levels, including the support to measures enabling the success of these processes.

As regards the specific objectives:

  1. To promote the development of integrated water resources management policies and measures in partner countries.
  2. To promote the development of integrated water resources management policies and measures at regional level, in particular to support the elaboration of the Mediterranean Water Strategy.
  3. To identify priority actions to be undertaken, assisting in estimating the related costs and, where appropriate, facilitate reinforced donors' coordination.

The Indicative maximum budget is of EUR 1 025 000. This call is intended to be launched in May 2009.
