News FP7-ICT-2011-8: Water management between water resources and distribution networks through ICT solutions

A Turkish SME providing clean energy solutions is preparing a project proposal to FP7-ICT-2011-8 call. The project aims to develop an integrated water resources management ICT solution including real-time monitoring of water demand to enhance the effectiveness of usage of water resources. The company, acting as a partner, is looking for large-sized companies, SMEs and water authorities to participate to this project as coordinator, technical partners and demonstrator partner, respectively.

A Turkish SME active in energy consultancy and project development provides several services in energy fields such as site identification & selection, feasibility studies, energy yield prediction, project sizing and design optimization, data acquisition and analysis as well as technology assessment. The Turkish company is preparing a project proposal to FP7-ICT-2011-8 under the challenge “ICT for a low carbon economy” that focuses on ICT solutions that will assist in reshaping the demand and supply side of the energy consumption in various fields including water management.

The project aims to develop advanced ICT solutions for efficient water management and to improve the links between water networks through analyzing the relation between supply and demand. This project will involve parts such as development of demand management systems, decision management systems and data management systems. The demand and supply of water will be monitored through real time ICT systems and this data; consumption, demand patterns will be used for real-time forecasting. Additionally, the developed systems will be demonstrated in at least two real-life operational environments in collaboration with responsible water authorities and utilities.

The Turkish SME, acting as a partner in the project, is looking for a large sized company to be the coordinator of this project. It is also looking for water authorities to provide necessary demonstration fields for the project. Moreover, the company is looking for SMEs that will collaborate in technical development of necessary ICT tools for water management.

The Turkish SME expertised in energy sector will act as a partner in the project within framework development for energy and water management schemes. It is looking for water authorities that will perform the demonstration part of the project and be end-users. Additionally, the company is looking for a large-sized company competent in water management concept and being experienced in EU projects to become the coordinator of this project. Moreover, it is searching for SMEs to collaborate in software development and providing necessary ICT equipments.
