News UNEP GEAS: Forecasting and early warning of dust storms

Dust storms can cause substantial environmental damage, health issues, and cause climate variations. Increased drought brought on by climate change and human-caused land degradation could intensify these events. If widely available and effectively implemented, early warning systems could potentially reduce some of the negative impacts that dust storms can have.
