MEDRC

The Middle East Desalination Research Center (MEDRC) is an international organization dedicated to finding solutions to fresh water scarcity. Established in 1996 as part of the Middle East Peace Process, MEDRC conducts research, training, development cooperation, and transboundary water projects. On January 13, 2012, SEMIDE and MEDRC signed a cooperation agreement to enhance sustainable water management. Recently, MEDRC has been involved in projects such as the Oman Humanitarian Desalination Challenge and supporting water research in Palestine and Jordan.

The Arab Countries Water Utilities Association

The Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) is registered as a Non-Governmental & Non-profit association (NGO), founded in 2006 as a result of an initiative by key water sector representatives in the Arab Region. The Association’s first consultative meeting was held in Cairo - Egypt in September, 2006. The meeting brought together delegates from Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, UAE, Palestine, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.

Since the Association was founded, it has obtained the support of both the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia of the United Nations(UN-ESCWA) and the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ). ACWUA Steering committee was formed during that meeting which was then followedby a series of regional meetings to discuss the establishment of the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association.

The water embassy- AdE

Founded in 2006, the Water Embassy is a 1901 association outcome of the finding of unequal access to water on Earth. The association aims to work on water issues in emerging countries. It is divided into several areas: awareness, education, information, realization. The public decisively organizes, among other actions, Water Classes for all levels of school with the support of the Water Agency Seine Normandy, as well as decentralized cooperation projects based on 1%of  the Oudin / Santini law.
