EU Green Week Partner Event: Financing Nature-based Solutions – Pathways to scalable biodiversity restoration and Nature-based Entrepreneurship

As part of EU Green Week 2026, the NURISH project, together with CARDIMED EU and FutureLakes, is organising an online partner event entitled “Financing Nature-based Solutions: Pathways to scalable biodiversity restoration and Nature-based Entrepreneurship”.

The webinar will explore how innovative financing approaches can contribute to scaling up the Nature-based Economy and strengthening climate resilience across Europe and beyond. Discussions will focus on public, private and blended finance mechanisms, biodiversity restoration, ecosystem services, insurance risk management and entrepreneurship opportunities linked to Nature-based Solutions.

The event will bring together experts and representatives from several EU-funded projects including CARDIMED, FutureLakes, NATURANCE, NURISH and MERLIN, who will share experiences and practical examples from ongoing initiatives.

The session will be moderated by Najla Kamergi from the Euro-Mediterranean Water Information System (SEMIDE) together with Alexandra Tsatsou.
