European Urban Resilience Forum 2026

Held in Guimarães, Portugal, the 13th European Urban Resilience Forum will focus on exploring integrated approaches to climate resilience that move beyond adaptation.

The 13th European Urban Resilience Forum will be held on 17-19 June 2026 in Guimarães, Portugal. City representatives, experts, and stakeholders from local and regional institutions will convene in the city designated as European Green Capital for 2026 with the shared goal of advancing strategies, initiatives, and actions on climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and the strengthening of urban resilience. 

Leadership and innovation of small and medium-sized cities will have a central place in the discussions, exploring their potential to enable bottom-up strategies and offer valuable lessons for climate resilience efforts worldwide through their close connection to citizens.
