Astee is preparing its 106th Congress in Caen, which will bring together more than 600 decision-makers, scientists, researchers, engineers and professionals from the water, sanitation, waste and environmental sectors. Discussions will focus on the theme “+4°C trajectory: how can we support the essential transformation of water and waste services?”. The congress will explore how climate change is putting increasing pressure on water resources, ecosystems and territories, through challenges such as resource scarcity, declining water quality, environmental degradation and growing natural and health risks. Particular attention will also be given to highly exposed coastal territories, where erosion, flooding and salinisation are already affecting infrastructures, economic activities and local communities.

Through exchanges of experience, technical discussions and research contributions, participants will examine the adaptation and mitigation strategies needed to strengthen the resilience of water and waste services and support territories facing increasingly severe climate impacts.
